Ahm Zadik's purpose is to glorify the name of the Creator while promoting righteousness, peace and justice through adherence to the Torah.
Our mission is to aid, promote and facilitate the spiritual, social and economic growth of the Hebrew Israelite diaspora in America and throughout the world. We look to fulfill our mission by the use and practice of 3 key principles :
TZEDAKAH
"Tzedakah" is the Hebrew word for the acts that we call "charity" in English: giving aid, assistance, and money to the poor and needy or to other worthy causes. But the nature of Tzedakah is very different from the idea of charity. The word "charity" suggests benevolence and generosity, a magnanimous act by the wealthy and powerful for the benefit of the poor and needy. The word "Tzedakah" is derived from the Hebrew root Tzade-Dalet-Qof, meaning righteousness, justice, or fairness. In Judaism, giving to the poor is not viewed as a generous, magnanimous act; it is simply an act of justice and righteousness, the performance of a duty, giving the poor their due.
“If there be among you a needy man, one of thy brethren, within any of thy gates, in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thy heart, nor shut thy hand from thy needy brother; Thou shalt surely give him, and thy heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him; because that for this thing the LORD thy God will bless thee in all thy work, and in all that thou puttest thy hand unto.” - Deuteronomy 15: 7 – 8
“Thou shalt surely give him, and thy heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him; because that for this thing the LORD thy God will bless thee in all thy work, and in all that thou puttest thy hand unto.” -Deuteronomy 15: 10 – 11
AVODAH
We often make the mistake of relegating our service to God with just our observances. It is clearly important for one to observe the Shabbat and YAH’s holy days, it is extremely vital for us to eat according to the Most High’s dietary law and yes we must wear our fringes (Tzitzit). The problem is, we often confine our worship to what we do for ourselves and not what we do for others. Serving YAH is more than just the observation of our routine “religious” practices, but it is also the measurable work and responsibility that one must do to glorify the name of the Most High and aid and assist one’s neighbor. This is the true meaning of “Avodah” (Service) and this is the true purpose of the Eved (Servant). The Avadim (Servants or laborers) are those who are committed and invested in doing the work of the Creator and for redemption and re-establishment of the God’s people.
“And He said unto me: 'Thou art My servant, Israel, in whom I will be glorified.' 4 But I said: 'I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for naught and vanity; yet surely my right is with the LORD, and my recompense with my God.' And now saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be His servant, to bring Jacob back to Him, and that Israel be gathered unto Him--for I am honorable in the eyes of the LORD, and my God is become my strength-- Yea, He saith: 'It is too light a thing that thou shouldest be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the offspring of Israel; I will also give thee for a light of the nations, that My salvation may be unto the end of the earth.' Thus saith the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, his Holy One, to him who is despised of men, to him who is abhorred of nations, to a servant of rulers: kings shall see and arise, princes, and they shall prostrate themselves; because of the LORD that is faithful, even the Holy One of Israel, who hath chosen thee.” -Isaiah 49:3-7
QUERUV
The meaning of Queruv is literally or draw near or bring close. The basis of Ahm Zadik’s outreach is to go out and gather God’s people through righteous deeds and the teaching of his divine word. Many have often made the mistake of waiting for people for stumble upon the truth or waiting for The Creator to miraculously reveal it to the people. It is our jobs as those with the light to seek out and guide those who are in the darkness. We must go to those who are lost, blind, deaf, suffering and seeking. Another way to describe the principle of Queruv (Outreach) is the meaning of the proverb “Each One Teach One”.
“This phrase ‘Each One Teach One’ was originated in America during slavery, when slave education was suppressed and outlawed, including learning to read. The mass majority of black slaves were force to exist in state of When an enslaved person learned or was taught to read, it became his duty to teach someone else, spawning the phrase ‘Each one teach one.” In this case, some of us were given the gift and blessing of Gods truth. It is not our obligation to bring forth to gather the people who want to be closer to The Creator.
“Gather My saints together unto Me; those that have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.” -Psalms 50: 5
“Fear not, for I am with thee; I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west; I will say to the north: 'Give up,' and to the south: 'Keep not back, bring My sons from far, and My daughters from the end of the earth.”
-Isaiah 43:5-6
